Who We Are
OnlyScouts (https://onlyscouts.com) is a platform for EVE Online players to stream local chat intel to their corporation, alliance, or fleet. The site is operated independently and is not affiliated with CCP Games.
What Data We Collect
When you log in through EVE SSO (Single Sign-On), we receive and store the following information from CCP/EVE Online:
- Character Name and Character ID
- Corporation Name and Corporation ID
- Alliance Name and Alliance ID (if applicable)
- Character Portrait URL
- OAuth Tokens (access token and refresh token for EVE SSO)
We do not collect your email address, real name, or any information outside of what EVE SSO provides. We do not require or store passwords — authentication is handled entirely through CCP’s EVE SSO service.
How We Use Your Data
Your EVE character data is used to:
- Verify your identity and log you into the platform
- Determine stream access based on your corporation, alliance, or character whitelist
- Display your character name and portrait in the site interface
- Process ISK-based subscription payments (if applicable to the stream)
- Track active viewer sessions for streamers to see who is watching
Embedded Content
Streams on OnlyScouts are embedded from YouTube. When you watch a stream, YouTube may collect data about you, set cookies, and track your interaction with the video player. This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies
OnlyScouts uses cookies for:
- Authentication: Session cookies to keep you logged in after EVE SSO authentication
- Viewer Tracking: To maintain your active viewer session on streams
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your character information is visible to:
- Stream owners: Can see which characters are currently watching their stream and which characters have active subscriptions
- Site administrators: Can view all user accounts and access records for platform management
Your data is transmitted to CCP Games only through the standard EVE SSO authentication flow.
How Long We Retain Your Data
Your account data (character name, corporation, tokens) is retained for as long as your account exists on the platform. Subscription and payment verification records are retained for the duration of the subscription plus 30 days. Active viewer session data is temporary and cleared automatically.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting the site administrator. Since authentication is through EVE SSO, you can also revoke OnlyScouts’ access to your EVE account at any time through CCP’s Third-Party Applications page.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
